Recruiting Cycle for Consulting Firms

Dear WSO Community,

I've recently completed my Teach for America commitment in Memphis, TN. I taught High School mathematics for 2 years and I have a background in Economics and Biochemistry. From the information I've gathered from Teach for America, large consulting firms have an interest in hiring TFA corps members.

That being said, from consultants I've spoken with over the phone, there is a recruiting cycle (conveniently they forgot to mention when the cycle is). If I understand correctly, if I apply during a recruiting cycle, I'm more likely to see/get consulting opportunities. I have two questions:

1.) When is the recruiting cycle for large consulting firms (what months)?

2.) Are recruiting cycles for undergrads only?

Sincerely,

A guy really interested in getting interviewed for a management consulting position.

At my firm, recruiting cycles were for undergrads and graduate student internship and full-time hiring. The cycle starts around the start of the school year. You are in between cycles now, the interns hired during the last cycle are in the middle of their summer internships. You may have to go through an experienced hire process, for which there is no cycle at all, since you are 2 years removed from school.

Hi Millser19, no, I never sleep and so I can respond to any lonely threads (like this one) at all hours of the night. Impressive, I know ;-)

No promises, but sometimes if we mention a user, they will share their wisdom: VioletBlues Flyingsaber Molly-Tortolani

If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
