Should I restart my case-cracking skills or continue from last years rounds?
Hi,
Keen on understanding if anyone has started from ground 0 after being a seasoned Casecracker and got better results?
Have gone through 2 partner rounds in MBB. Failed first due to poor prep in general. Failed second due to weird dynamics in 1 of 2 interviews that I did not pick up on during the case itself, which made me fail in structuring and driving it properly.
Now, as recruiting soon picks up - I am torn between starting with Crafting Cases again (2Y since first time), or just hit the ground running with practice sub-segments and case interviews.
Over the past 2 years, I have probably done 50+ cases, gone through 15+ interviews at different firms, and worked at a smaller firm spun out from MBB.
Hey Prospect in Consulting, I'm here to break the silence...any of these links help you?:
More suggestions...
Hope that helps.
Not of much help.... How did you start building case competency? I am a rising sophomore who wants to start exposing myself to cases and start to build these skills. Any suggestions?
I did Crafting Cases and watched some full IV on YT to get the grasp of it. Once I felt okey ish with live practicing, I started to do interviews with peers. Kept an error log and trained on flaws whenever I had time or no one could show up for interviews. But best practice really is live casing, especially if it is with someone solid.
