Equity Research Junior Associate Program
Hello all, I recently applied to MS Equity Research Junior Associate Program starting in early 2020. The application deadline was September 30th, 2019. Has anyone heard back?

I applied with a referral from someone in the ER department as well as two other higher ups batting for me in other departments, got dinged by HR before an interview because I didn't meet requirements by being a 2018 (?) graduate/not having a full year experience yet. Is this bullshit? Whats your background and have you heard back? I am currently working on a strong team at a MM bank in research with good coverage but have not been offered a full time position until I get my CFA results back in Jan. - felt pretty qualified for the position.
MS has a rule for full time hires where they only hire people with 1+ year(s) of experience.

I meet all the qualifications, currently working in Asset Management at a BB. Haven't heard back yet :(
Unfortunately, I got dinged after the hireview last week. I think there's some nepotism or they're looking for ER people from other firms that are looking to jump ship.
Had a good background + read a book about equity research + decent school + front office role with a promotion and that wasn't enough. Oh well : (
I have a similar background, CFA Lvl 3/CPA, and also got dinged after the hireview interview. Not sure how they're selecting candidates. Felt that I should share, best of luck in your search.
