ER Internship Timeline (Europe)

Hi,

Im aware that most of recruiting for IB in Europe is already over, but I was wondering if it is the same for Equity Research? I still see some pure research firms having open positions, are those up to date or just no being closed?

What Timeline should I follow if I want to recruit for Summer 2025?

Thanks for any info

I know Barclays is still recruiting for their ER Graduate program. Optiver also has a Graduate Equity Analyst program, but they're in Amsterdam.

Outside of that, I haven't seen a single internship open for ER and I've been actively recruiting since I got my CFA results last week.

Just for context, I'm not OP.

I had no option - I sat and waited for my CFA L3 result to use that to recruit with. I don't want an internship, I want an associate position & the least I'd take is a graduate position (masters + CFA L3). It's not the best, but if I somehow land in a Tier 3 bank, I'd be fine with it. Have also applied to hedge funds like P72 & Millennium.

I know you're not OP. Just the way you phrased your last sentence sounded like you were looking for internships.

You want an associate position with just a masters? I'm not sure if you mean "research associate" as in a junior in ER or "associate" as in analyst -> associate. If the latter, it's not happening. A graduate position should be your default. CFA doesn't let you skip ranks.
