Jefferies Equity Research - Career Switch 2024

Application for this program closed October 20th. Applied mid September and got an email in late September with a link to a questionnaire answering a few basic questions like years of work experience and college major. This form subsequently populated as a job application in my career portal titled "Equity Research - Career Switch 2024 Pipeline," separate from the original application I submitted.

Haven't heard anything since. Has anybody gotten an interview invite or heard anything? Thanks

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here is what you need to know:

  • Application Timeline: You applied mid-September and received a follow-up email in late September with a link to a questionnaire.
  • Current Status: The form you filled out populated as a job application in your career portal under "Equity Research - Career Switch 2024 Pipeline."
  • Next Steps: As of now, you haven't heard back since completing the questionnaire.

Unfortunately, there is no specific information in my knowledge base about anyone receiving interview invites or further communication for this particular program. It might be helpful to stay patient and keep an eye on your email and career portal for any updates. If you haven't heard back, it could still be part of their review process.

Bump. Anybody heard any updates about this? My portal still says “under consideration,” and I haven’t heard anything else.

Are there any other career switch programs? What about, if we are a little over 5 years out from undergrad.

I'm thinking about self-studying for CFA level 1, or going back to school at night to take classes while I work.

I wouldn't necessarily want to shell out $200K for a masters degree/MBA program

I think at this point, it is safe to assume that if you did not receive an interview, chances are you did not get the job.

I applied, and am on the same boat. Given how rare this program is, emotionally it is hard to get over. Having said that at least we can be assured there will be more opportunities in the future. Just keep at it!
