Time off policy and ability to use?

Hey guys, curious to hear what everyone else's time off has been like? I have worked at a small bank for over 2 years and have only taken 6 days off total. I've tried to ask my analyst for time off but I'm denied except for the occasional 1 day here or 1 day there. Just curious what it's like elsewhere on the street.

For me, as long as I’m not taking off during earnings / conference season / our own marketing, pretty much fine to take a week off here or there and be unplugged. If something happens (big m&a, unexpected events, etc.) then i’ll be available but otherwise, i’m out of office. Usually the week before earnings (after we put out the preview) is an easy time to step away for a few days, as is during August / December. Your situation sounds sub-optimal.
