Will the CFA allow me to get a position in ER?

To further elaborate, I am a recent university graduate (may) with a degree in economics from a non-target (if that matters). I finally landed my first job out of school at a BB, albeit in compliance. Although the position so far seems pretty neat - it's completely remote and it pays decent - this is not exactly what I would like to be doing for too long. I am aware that the economy is not doing so well and it likely will get worse when the new year comes around. For that reason, I am content with what I have landed and I was wondering if the CFA would be required or if it would be of great help in finding a position in ER when I have more experience and the market rebounds. Thank you!
