Best Special Sits in London - decent WLB + good progression

Hello finance lords,I'm in the enlightening search for a good special sits firm where you would earn decent money (more than banking long-term), where people would be decent guys, and where you would not work (most) of the weekends (i.e 80-90 hours on average I think its decent at Aso level)Any good firms that come to your mind that would fit this three criteria?Maybe I'm just dreaming, but yeah.Appreciate the help :)

Elite and secretive so no but based on the situations they get involved in they are litigious monsters and excellent at their craft

That’s like saying “I want to invest in stocks, what should I do”.  Event driven is an umbrella and encompasses different parts of the capital structure as well as a variety of strategies.  And if you want a relaxed lifestyle a hedge fund and especially event driven strategies are the worst starting point,  rather try fund of funds or long only…

Man, I know that, and yes. My take was more like a place where shits needs to be done, you work, but when its chill, its chill and there is no bullshit like sell-side (in terms of hours).

And I was just curious to understand if there could be flexibility in the mandate, so you could move a bit between strategies, from distress to merger arbitrage, depending on the edge you would have.
