Can Writing for Seeking Alpha Help Get an Analyst Role?

My question is regarding whether writing for Seeking Alpha could help someone eventually get a full-time job as an analyst in Equity Research. For a quick background on myself, I'm currently a sophomore at a semi-target school working on getting my finance undergrad. I've been writing for Seeking Alpha for the last two years(since my senior year of high school). I did it as a way to get more connections in the industry and hopefully be able to differentiate myself. 

From what most people have told me, people in both buy and sell-side research don't take Seeking Alpha too seriously, and it's looked down upon; so I wanted to ask others on this forum whether this is something that would be worthwhile and would differentiate myself while trying to get a job after I'm done with my undergrad.
