Would I need an MBA down the road?

Background: Currently working in Asia and have graduated for 7 years. First job was some completely unrelated role at a bank, after 1 year I switched to a small local HF doing equity L/S. Stayed there for another 1.5 years and landed at the current place. Current fund is a fairly large and reputable one in Asia focusing in equity investing. Thanks to some good picks in my first 2 years there, I got promoted to be an assistant PM 2.5 years ago and co-run a small, new fund with 1 of the most senior PMs in the firm. The PM gave me full discretion in the book I run as we specialize in different sectors. Strategy is concentrated, fundamental equity covering the Asia region. So far the 2.5 years track record was satisfactory although these 2 months were quite tough.

Question:
I like my current job as I am investing in almost exactly the way I like to, the investment style fits, the company culture fits, I am gaining a lot of trust from colleagues. The bad thing really is it is hard to raise fund (the whole group is fairly big but the fund I co-run is quite new, and small)

I have been thinking about bschool for a long time, got my GMAT which is about to expire. My undergrad school was a target school locally but could not be considered prestigious at all, so I always had that desire for that stamp of approval. I don’t have a traditional blue chip job experience either (didn’t work in IB or BB ER).
I am not sure in the long run whether that degree from an M7/S16 school can help me in fundraising.

Going to bschool would mean I would lose my current career momentum, and there would be a lot of uncertainty in recruiting also.
Our CIO (a H/S/W MBA grad) said I don’t need to go to bschool, but I am concerned about the long term implication of having no blue chip background at all (degree nor work experience).
