I have a college mate who's joining GS NY this July and getting 65k base pay. Any other firms up-ed their 1st yr analyst pay to 65k? Thought that 60k was the street this yr.

I was under the impression you got 5k tacked onto your salary if you were directly hired from an internship. If he was an intern last summer, this makes sense.

Anyone else got their base pay bumped to 65k? Would it make sense to approach HR and request for a bump up to 65k from 60k if thats the norm the street is paying?
