2 Majors or 1 Major and 2 Minors

Hey Mates,

I am an undergrad at Cornell's Dyson School concentrating in Finance and Business Analytics. I am currently deciding between pursuing a double major in Information Science or two minors in computer science and operations research and management science (ORMS).

I would just double major in computer science, but given the way my school is strucutred, I can only minor in CS. There is another option and that is too major in Info Sci. This major is really open ended, and I can take similar courses to CS and ORMS and, but it has a stigma of being easy CS (rightfully so, I think you can grad without taking 1 CS class).

I'm mainly considering Info Sci. because I have heard employers don't really consider minors when hiring.

Well what are your personal goals for choosing major/minors? All else equal considering you're in AEM i'd double major since they're both in CALS and you can still take more CS classes than are required. The flexibility and diversity of the info sci major is generally why it can be seen as the easy CS but if you take CS/Data science/algorithm classes than you'll be making good use.
