Does anyone have an idea if spots in the IB Analyst class at BB and MM firms open up in the Spring ? I mean, what are the chances that kids renege or drop out before the program starts in June ? I've been networking with a few senior bankers and they told me that it's possible that positions open up in March and April. Does it make sense to continue networking aggressively with them or focus my efforts on MM and boutiques ?

Most banks probably feel that they either over hired for their 2015 Analyst Class or extended quite a number of full-time offers out to their 2015 Summer Analyst kids. I honestly think banks are not going to actively backfill in case of natural attrition...
But go ahead and keep looking for a spot. Never hurts to hustle, it's your only choice at the moment.
