Career Resources
The banks are not gonna let interns work in person. Despite the city reopening I don’t think companies will return to full staff in the office until the end of the year or 2021 anyway.
Besides, banks have already told all of their interns not to make housing arrangements and assured them that the whole program will be virtual

Are you at a boutique? Pretty sure all EB/BB/MM have clarified this information early last month.
Not sure why you'd expect this to even be remotely possible with everything going on right now
New York is reopening gradually next week
Still a big liability for the company to have an intern get sick and/or expose employees and vice versa. Additionally do you really think they could change from virtual to in person with a month before the internship starts forcing people to make travel and housing arrangements last minute. Not gonna work especially when some international students aren't allowed to come back.
This phase of reopening = construction, retail, etc. Not jobs that can be done remotely like banking. FYI most folks I know aren't expecting to return to the office until August / September
