just say the name of the bank the datapoint is literally useless without it
You're right, its SMBC. Do you have your numbers yet?
Most banks won't have numbers for another 2-3 months. My bank reports numbers mid-Aug.

Bank: SMBC
Title: Associate
Base: 140
Bonus: 125
Why is your base so low for an associate? What year associate are you?
This has to be fake. SMBC associate minimum is $150.
Wtf is happening to my poor brothers at SMBC? Do all banks not have a min 175k base for Associate 1? Is this for investment banking or some other part of the bank like corporate banking?
Unfortunately it’s for all parts. My friend said they were expecting to get the increase (beyond As1-As2 increase) but he was told he is now at $175 as an As2.
Either the bank will change it in a year or so when markets pick up and they need to attract more talent, or they don’t give a F and will continue.
Wow...all of a sudden feeling fortunate to be at $225K as ASO3.
My mom always told me that there were starving kids in Africa but I guess there are some in Japan, too!
Isn't GS ASO1 $150k?

Bank: HSBC/MUFG/SMBC

Title: An2 -> An3
Base: $105k -> $110k
Bonus: $31.5k
Edit: We have no buckets
Can you edit the post to make sure people include bucket too? And add specifically for IB, data points get messy if CB or other groups post too.
What the fuck is this spambot shit. Get bent
following
My boi it is May.... Give it a few more months lmao
TD / Cowen:
Base: 110k
Bonus: 25k
Bucket: Mid
An2? I’ve heard some huge TD bonus numbers over the last year, what happened
They overpaid and hired way too many people last couple years, so this year they have to adjust. Tons of RIF in since late 2023 and early 2024
Deloitte Corporate Finance An1 -> An2 100 -> 110 Top bucket: 57.5 Mid bucket: 55 Not sure on low/bottom bucket
Is this for real?!? Did not realize Deloitte paid well
Yes, only DCF (~150 bankers total) though, not to be confused with the other M&A advisory/consulting practices in broader Deloitte which pay significantly less. DCF was a boutique bank called Mccoll Partners acquired by Deloitte in 2013. Main presence in Charlotte and Chicago, compete mainly against Piper, 5/3, HW, WFMM, HL and pretty much only do sell-side M&A.
You know its bad when Deloitte is paying more than actual banks. Analysts not even clearing 150k at most places
Love opening bonus threads to see Deloitte mfs clearing more pay than me
should be the pinned comment in this thread.
1Y analyst BB NYC Coverage: $50k mid-bucket.
Raymond James Industrials M&A
Salary info:
AN1: $100k AN2: $110k AN3: $125k
Bonus (top bucket):
AN1: $50k AN2: $60k AN3: $75k
Other info: I cover industrials but heard there was little variation between groups. Rumored that top bucket consumer analysts were paid marginally higher, but only by $1-3k vs. other groups.
Tough considering y’all’s hours lol
Fifth Third - M&A
An1 $90 / An2 $100 / An3 $110
An2 bonus range: $50-$75
seems solid, what are your hours like there?
Any other banks reported or reporting this week? Numbers for RJ above look a little lower than last year.
