2026 Summer Opportunities Toronto

Hi all - Canadian semi-target rising sophomore (Smith/Ivey) still looking for 2026 summer analyst roles. How do most students go about finding opportunities? Seems like most openings are driven through club postings or self-directed reachouts to boutiques but it looks like most shops aren't looking for any interns quite yet (and I believe I've missed the train for Big5 2026 SA).

Would really appreciate guidance on how to go about recruiting as it seems I'm quite behind relative to my peers who seem to have secured offers/gone through various interview rounds already.

There isn't much you can do right now other than just keep networking and preparing your technicals for when stuff does open. Like you said, this is a slow period for recruiting; the big/reputable banks are done, and the boutiques haven't started yet (and won't until the fall term starts at the earliest).
