About Switching from PM role to IB role
Hello,
I am pursuing an MBA Finance & Strategy from a non-target school for IB without any prior knowledge about finance. Last semester I tried hard to get into the IB summer internships but due to lack of guidance I could not get it.
Although I got call for first round from 2-3 banks, I could not clear those. So, my current situation is due to my strong tech background I have an internship offer for tech product management, but I really want to target IB.
How can I get into the IB for full time roles after having a product management internship. And should I even think about getting into the IB after leaving a very promising career path in PM, considering I am from the non target school ?? Is it even possible for PM to get into IB without having any prior experience in the finance??
