We are business as usual for summer analysts + associates. Not much happening on the lateral front and i don't see that coming back for 6-12 months at the minimum
What about first year analyst?
There are plenty of job postings for analysts and associates - see lots of corp finance stuff, strategy, investor relations etc. The difference is there are a ton of applicants now. Few lateral IB postings, but even those can be found too.

Can concur - our bonuses are looking plump for the first time in years.
Got a job from a top bank last month (S&T not IB though). Somes firms that were keen to interview froze their processes till Q1/Q2 to wait and see but opportunities are still out there.

Real estate, so not pure finance, but I'm pretty sure we're still hiring, I just interviewed 3 MBAs yesterday. I know there is a position in SoCal open, and I think a bunch of opportunities for junior guys in Texas/Southeast.
Recently landed a job as a restructuring analyst. Jobs are out there, just takes a little more effort to get.
I know a bunch of people who are securing interviews (and jobs) for both pre- and post-MBA roles in private equity and banking. This is in the US, UK, and Europe. Yes, things are slower but they haven’t stopped.
