Advice on a career as an analyst

I want to take on a career as a financial analyst.
I am currently majoring in BA and finance,
Any advice on where to start, I mean at least in this modern world, what are the jobs offered in the financial world?
I know stockbrokers are almost obsolete and so are prop traders

"Career as an analyst" sounds like a horror movie. You're not supposed to be an analyst for longer than 2 or 3 years m8..
