Advice on Master's programme Europe
Hi, I am a European student (non target UG) in the final year of my degree (econ) and thinking of doing a MSc in the UK next year. I am specifically looking for programs that do not require a GMAT, however I do realise this is a huge constraint. What are your experiences with the following programmes and how would you rank them to one-another? Given that my aim is to get a summer internship in IB. Also, since it is IB I focus on, I would prefer to attend a more corporate rather than quantitative finance master programme.
- MSc (corporate) finance at King's College
- MSc (finance pathway) management at UCL
- MSc Finance & Accounting at Imperial
- MSc Management Imperial
- MSc Finance at Warwick Business School
Thank you in advance
Imperial A&F > Imperial Mgt > Warwick > KCL = UCL
Pretty much spot on
Wouldn’t Warwick finance > Imperial management for finance jobs?
Imperial Finance > Imperial A&F > Warwick Finance > Imperial Mgt > Warwick > KCL = UCL
Thank you for your answer. Would you say that which university you attend is much more important than the degree, even at the Master's level? For instance, would a MSc in political science at LSE still give you better odds at landing an interview for a summer internship in IB than a Msc finance at Warwick or King's?
Imperial College Business School has the MSc in International Management which seems better than their MSc Management. It requires a GMAT score but they give out waivers.
There's also the MSc A&F at LSE which doesn't require GMAT
MPhil Finance/Real Estate Finance at Cambridge don't require a GMAT either, and do every well for recruiting
How is MSc in Mathematical and Computational Finance from Oxford uni for getting into IBD? Even that does not require GMAT/GRE.
Thanks!
Think it is good, you would be seen as the applied math guy from Oxford. Need some good internships though or apply to SA
actually this much better than the above degrees from imperial / Warwick, purely based on brand name
