After accepting a summer internship, how often should I keep in contact with the MD's and Analysts?

I've accepted a summer internship offer in IB beginning in the summer of 2018. How often should I keep in contact with the MD's and Analysts?

Is it better to not bother them so often and just wait a few months before the start of the internship?
