Am I am idiot

Hello friends, I am in need of advice

I just got a rejection from a second opportunity at a tier 1 shop (BX PE/ KKR / P72) because of a the IQ test

I have a very very strong background and great experiences, but every time I have to do an aptitude or IQ test, I am unable to move forward

Am I just dumb or do I need to study for something like this? Can I get “smarter”?

If it's similar to the online aptitude tests banks use in Europe then you can 100% practise to improve your score. For context they used these sorts of tests for some university admissions tests I did and when I started I was getting average scores but then I spent all summer practising them and I scored in the top 1% for that university admissions test.

Was this for BX? Got kicked out after that fucking test, most non-sense crap I have seen in my life. Legit had nothing to do with finance, was just 10 stupid questions

You are not an idiot. I did not pass several IQ test type questions, but passed a numerical test for a BB bank and got an offer at the BB bank whilst not even getting interviews at some other banks.

But I mean it all worked out for the best, I didn't want to work at Nomura anyway.
