Read those for awhile, the amount of information you'll soak in will be astounding.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

starwinThese are the books recommended by the BB for all Summer Analyst in IBD:

Valuation by McKinsey Finance & Investment Handbook by John Downes Fundamentals of corporate finance by Ross Westerfield Security Analysis and Business Valuation on Wall Street by Hooke Vault Guide to Investment banking by Vault

What books do you have on hand?

You will never learn about finance by reading textbooks.

I would start with Vault's Guide to Investment Banking, Monkey Business, Vault Guide to Finance Interviews, and Liar's Poker. The Guide to IB gives you the necessary frame work. The interview guide is important because it is a quick summary that explains the beginner concepts that you need to know in order to have a foundation. The other two books are there to provide entertainment and to give you a sense of what finance is really like (Another option is Barbarians at the Gate).

Apart from those books, you should read the Wall Street Journal and another finance publication (Forbes, Economist, Fortune) just so you can see what is happening in the real world and what finance guys are doing.

"Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, for knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind. And greed, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA."

Those books were recommended by the BB to read over the summer to have a foundation for the SA in IBD.

And if you go on Goldman's website you can find 50 more books just like them. Just because they are on a website doesn't mean the BB knows what they are talking about. If you are just started out with no prior knowledge read the books I suggested. I doubt anyone with working has read more than one of those books you listed above (and it was probably Valuation)
