Analyst Networking

Hey everyone,

As a sophomore I've been networking a lot trying to put myself in a good position for summer 2020 because next summer didn't really come through for me. Anyway, I know a lot of IB analysts at the BB's and EB's and my question is: realistically if they like me and believe in me what can they actually do for me? Like what should I ask for on a 2nd coffee chat or an office visit? Just the number/email of his VP or associate and tell them that I'm gonna be calling them or something like that? I know analysts are usually not involved in the recruitment and have no pull to help me get an interview.
