Any transferable skills from doing research at an M&A Buyside advisory firm?
As the title says, could I leverage experience for any finance job working on researching potential acquisitions for targets? There's the potential to rub elbows with executives from Hedgefunds, PE firms, and other Companies etc.
There is no finance analysis involved in the position, its basically an 4 month internship until I find full time employment.
I did something like this and it sucked, but it was something to talk about in interviews/put on resume. Be careful about "spinning" your experience in interviews. The interviewer is smarter than you
Why did it suck? I don't spin my resume, I just try to get stuff that sounds relevant in there.
It will pay just enough for lunch and gas. $11 bucks an hour, although I would have to purchase a vehicle. My biggest concern would be my ability to go to interviews when they come up, unless I just quit searching while I am working.
