Anyone ever go from banking to sales?
Junior year here. Been chasing banking since first year, and partly reconsidering due to striking out on SA recruiting. I've always liked making money, and really liked IB at the senior level because I valued the idea of building relationships and being able to sell services based on expertise. However, I can't say I love what banking is at the junior level.
I've always found myself being able to strike up a conversation with anyone in the room regardless of their seniority. With that being said, I can see myself pursuing sales but am worried that there's a lot more risk coming out of undergrad if I choose to pursue it as a career. Not necessarily referring to sales within an investment bank, but for me personally I would want to sell something I'm passionate about(which currently is finance). Anyone have any insight on my dilemma?
