I don't have access to Thomson and would like to know who the major players have been in the past 2 years considering I'm trying to break into the field and I'm currently living in Sao Paulo.
Btw, are there separate league tables for buy-side and sell-side advisory, or is it all clumped into one?

Read recently about how the ceo of Pactual, André Esteves (now a billionaire post buyout), has now become the global head of fixed income and ceo of ubs la. The guy has got a pretty cool story behind him- think it was in business week or something similar a month or two ago.
