Anyone heard of the Access Distributed Fellowship? Worth doing?

Hey everyone — I’m a rising sophomore at a non-target and just applied to the Access Distributed Fellowship. It’s a year-long finance program aimed at helping non-target, underrepresented students break into IB/PE/HF roles. They offer mentorship, technical prep, and some recruiting support from what I’ve seen.

Was wondering if anyone here has done it or knows someone who has. Curious if it’s legit/helpful or more of a resume booster type of thing. Any insight into the network, quality of training, or if firms actually recognize it would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, while there isn't specific mention of the Access Distributed Fellowship in the provided knowledge base, programs like these that focus on mentorship, technical preparation, and recruiting support for non-target and underrepresented students can be valuable. They often provide structured guidance, networking opportunities, and resources that might not be readily available at non-target schools.

Key factors to consider: 1. Mentorship and Network: If the fellowship connects you with professionals in IB/PE/HF and offers access to a strong alumni network, it could significantly enhance your chances of breaking into the industry. 2. Technical Prep: Programs that provide robust technical training (e.g., financial modeling, valuation) can help you stand out in interviews. 3. Recruiting Support: If the fellowship has partnerships with firms or a track record of placing students in top roles, it’s a strong indicator of its legitimacy and value.

If you’re looking for additional resources, WSO offers highly rated tools like financial modeling courses, resume templates, and interview prep guides that could complement the fellowship. Ultimately, the value of such a program often depends on how much effort you put into leveraging its resources and network.

Agree with the above commenter. Participated a couple years ago and have nothing but good things to say about AD. Great people and even better training/mentorship
