Are lateral openings usually this quiet this time of year?
Seems like there are almost no openings currently. Is this typical for this time of year, or is it indicative of something else?

Been seeing a good amount at the Analyst 1 level. Have you been tracking through Indeed + LinkedIn? Also would recommend setting up introductory calls with recruiters.
He’s talking about associate I believe. And yes he’s correct. Lateral associate openings have fallen off a cliff in the past 6 months even though they should’ve picked up in January.
Seems fairly active to me and no different than last year. Where are you currently? Both in NYC and SF I’ve gotten recruiter pings for jobs at top and middling BBs and EBs, as well as a number of MMs.
NY, just relocated from SF.
I just moved shops so not looking to move. Have seen about a dozen or so roles, just expected more. Could also be fewer headhunters messaging me given they see I started in this role just a few months ago.

I have seem more associate opening than analyst opening
