Are you more productive from home? Or do you prefer the office

I think I land in the middle, some of the pls fix type of work is better suited at home, but in terms of the day. I think being in the office is better.

If it was up to me, id have employees work during the day at the office and if there was still necessary work, I’d have them finish at home.

What do you all think?

I 100% prefer being at home and also think I’m more productive at home

Granted I already have rapport with my team and think in person it’s easier to initially build in person, so I fully understand and support people and companies desires to not be 100% remote (but think mandatory 3+ days a week in office for everyone is overkill)

Medium to long term if WFH flexibility remained, I think many of the structural reasons why some will say they’re less productive at home as a rule will be mitigated (ie they’ll make sure they have sufficient home office space and kids will be out of the house and back in school)

I always found plenty of distractions and interruptions working in a open office / cubicles / bullpen situation

Not to mention the dramatic quality of life improvements from better diet, more sleep, ability to exercise in quick breaks, etc
