It's pretty to easy to get Associate comp info, just read Dealbreaker. Lots of caps, deferred payouts etc. this year and just shitty as a whole. Not being laid off is the new bonus for career bankers. If i remember correctly, top analysts at JPM got higher bonuses last year than lower-bucket associates this year.
well this thread started 5 years ago but whatever.
base comp is 100 in stub (0) year (+ 25 - 40k stub bonus). As for yr 1 2 3, a couple of banks (jpm for example) just announced a cut from 125, 150, 175 for yr 1 2 3 to 120, 140, 160. Some banks were already there.
from what i heard, top bonuses for first years were 100% with average around 60k (again, for first year associates).

$90-120k base salary (depending on firm and level--Associate 0, 1, 2) 0-100% bonus (closer to 20-40% this year)
^20-40%!?!?!? Are you sure?
base salaries can be over 120k at BBs. I've heard 130k to 140k for more experienced associates.
100k to start, 125k post stub
^ this is correct, but I'm still shocked by the 20-40% comment. I'm sure it was much higher, no?

if you got zero they are telling you to leave.
Did any of the BB's not give any salary bump at all? Meaning if you made 100k as a stub you are still making 100k as a Associate 1?
pretty sure citi associates did not get the bump and are still at 100k. everyone else is either at 120 or 125.
BarCap is sticking with 100-125-150-175 bumps.
Are you surprised that 20-40% is too high or too low?
Many places got a big fat 0% bonus this year.. and then I know some of the elite boutiques got closer to 50-60% bonuses.
Re-read your post, you thought 20-40% was too low for 2011? You should pick up a newspaper once in a while.
