Long term goal is to go to PE so just want to get a sense what the exits from Piper Sandler ex DBO looks like.

Bump, interested. Thinking the PE offer just cause those are big names. Not sure what exits come from DBO.
Had several conversations with people at DBO — exits seem really strong for top performers. My understanding is that the MDs really go to bat for the analysts, opening up opportunities at even top MFs (seen a few TB exits in recent years). If you’re optimizing for PE exits, I imagine you’d have no issue recruiting to one of those buyside shops after an IB stint at DBO. But it is possible that if you start out in one of those PE analysts roles, you may be limiting your options (e.g. difficulties moving upmarket, industry focus, strategy, etc.)
