Hello everyone, I am curious to what the average age range is for an IB analyst and associate? I talked with a family friend who is a director and he asked if I was interested in the career and if so to try and make the transfer to IB as an analyst sooner than later before I am out of the age range of an analyst (I am 23M). Curious to hear everyone’s opinion on this.

IB Associate:
Actual average age: 26 years old
Biological average age: 56 years old
IB analysts average 21-23 years old with a very tight spread around the middle (22 yrs)
IB associate range 27-32, wider distribution as different people take different life paths to MBA, etc
How long does it usually take someone to get promoted from analyst to associate level?
