background check forms questions

obviously these forms are also filled out by associates and VP's, and thus the question of detail your work in the past 15 years makes sense. But for incoming SA's, i can;t rememeber the exact months that I worked at the ice cream shop sophmore year of HS.

You may laugh at my question, but i have no desire to fuck with HR and the background check procedure. Should I just do my best and ball park it, or just not do anything because its a negligible occupation. I figure that not listing it would be bad, but having something incorrect could cause trouble too.

Thanks

Sir I don't think it's a joke, these things can be important.

You could try contacting your ice cream shop manager to obtain the necessary information. But if for some reason that doesn't work, then your best bet would probably be to contact different customers that you remember purchasing ice cream from the shop, and ask them if they can recall the months they saw you working there during your sophomore year. In any case, leaving it out would be lying to HR by omission, because you'd be implying that you didn't sell ice cream when you actually did...and the last thing you want to do is turn into another Marilee Jones.

i did not actually work for a fucking ice cream shop, it was an open example. Everyone had high school summer jobs or something that would fall under this category. Asking if a job that i did within the requested time period, that I find negligible, will be even checked out or important for a background check should not warrant "firing" anyone. Foolish. Get your little prick outta your own ass... attention to detail is important in this industry, and I am only doing my best to honor that.

HAHAHA, this has to be a joke.

It's funny because you say "attention to detail is important in this industry, and I am only doing my best to honor that", but your original question is "should I just do my best and ballpark it?"

Bottom line, no one cares about the ice cream shop you worked at when you were 15.
