Background Check Question
Hey guys, I have a quick questions about background checks for BB summer analyst positions. After the Fall 2016 semester (my sophomore fall), I was recommended by my professor to be a student tutor for the course. At the beginning of the spring semester, I completed the school's tutor training program (~6-8 hours of classes), but then had trouble getting my employment registration card (didn't have the necessary documents with me on campus), and so I just ended up tutoring people that I knew in the class on a volunteer basis. The problem is, once I was recommended as a tutor and took the training program, I put "Student Tutor" on my resume, dates February 2017-Present (I have started tutoring the course on a paid basis this fall). I then started networking, sent that resume out to contacts at BB banks, and now it is the official resume on file at a number of the banks I'm interviewing with. I'm afraid that if they do a background check and call the lady who's in charge of the tutoring program, a red flag is going to go up. Am I gonna end up getting screwed over this in a background check? Should I find some way to handle this proactively? Seriously did not intend to mislead anyone, and obviously its such a minor point on my resume and wasn't why I got interviews, but now I'm stressing about it.
