Background checks (London)
What information is requested from one IB to another IB if I’ve been given a lateral offer? Understand that start date and end dates are confirmed (not sure how it works if you’re still there and need to give notice in). But what about references on things such as sick leave (paid and unpaid) or rating/bonus, etc?
You'll have the standard check which is start / end dates and title. Then it's regulatory references which is FCA requirement and covers the points above plus fit and proper assessment which includes any investigations or disciplinary actions taken against you etc. (it's not always the case that they'll indeed include info there)
