Based on the most helpful WSO content, Baird continues to be a leader in the space, particularly in Industrials. They have been executing well out of their industrials coverage group. However, the hours can be fairly long and the experience can vary across groups, industries, offices, and even in deal teams.
In terms of culture, it's been noted that there are periods of intense market M&A activity coupled with the firm being understaffed to support significant new business that was won. These periods can be challenging but are seen as growing pains for a firm that has moved up market significantly over the last decade.
On the positive side, Baird does have protected Saturdays, which means you get some time away from work for some well-deserved recharging. Also, the leadership has acted in instances to try and address issues.
As for the strongest verticals, it's been noted that Baird has seen like 6 straight years of record revenue, indicating a strong performance across the board.
