Heard the CLT Lev Fin group is pretty strong
does CLT lf typically go into mm PE?
Mostly credit shops, but few MM PE, and seen people go to MFs in T1 cities too.
Syndication. They may have smaller deal teams, but think syndication is the only one based there.
Don't work at the bank, but from what I understand the levfin group is split between NYC and Charlotte, but mostly in NYC. I think some of the seniors in the Charlotte office may focus on specific niches (energy, healthcare, segments of industrials, middle market), but juniors in both offices are cross-staffed regularly regardless of which office the deal originated.
It’s 2/3 in NYC and 1/3 in Charlotte.
Charlotte office is also very heavy on SE schools like Duke/UNC
What's the major difference between the NYC and CLT office in regards to culture or deal flow?
Why do they have LevFin in Charlotte at all? I know it’s a remnant from when BofA was more involved in Charlotte, but just curious as to why they haven’t moved the whole team to NYC.
