Banks with the Best Culture

I understand culture is very dependent on teams/ MDs, but overall, what banks are known to have better culture? This includes work-life balance, vacation, benefits...etc Specifically in NY.

I'd choose a bank that has lots of alumni from your school. These people will always look out for you and will likely try to pull you into their group. However, as you said very group dependent. That being said, from what I can tell the elite boutique like Evercore are often most hardcore culture, larger bulge bracket more mainstream. Ngl, Deutsche Bank has best culture from people I've talked to, and its probably because they spend too much time at happy hour instead of closing deals that they're in the shitter rn

Think it's difficult to define an entire firm's culture unless it's very small - your experience will be defined far more by the culture of your specific team. The upside here is that you can often get good colour from current employees / alumni about who's a good boss to work for, etc, etc.
