Has anyone heard back about Barclays' sophomore internship for this summer? I applied in early january and we are supposed to hear back by Jan 25 but I was wondering if anyone has had their interview yet. Thanks!

Got rejected to the UBS President's Internship, expecting the same from Barclays. It appears that PWM is my fate.

How do you know we're supposed to hear back from Barclays by today? Just wondering because I've talked to a bunch of my friends and no one's heard anything... I feel like at least one person who's applied should have heard back by the 25th like the website says.
I emailed them and they said we should hear back by friday (today)
but its almost 5pm EST and still nothing :(
Friday is about to be over soon. And still nothing. I don't know what happened. I think I'd better stop waiting! :(
i've heard the HR department at barclays is pretty bad...that explains the delay.
Wanted to point out for those of you waiting for 1st round notices that I just received one about 40 minutes ago. Won't be taking it, however, so maybe another spot for one of you guys.

was it a mass email from HR or was it from an actual interviewer?
Mass from HR requesting time availability over the week for phone interview with an IB analyst.
Is it possible that notifications were sent out for the IB applicants only? Has anyone else heard anything either way?

No. Plenty of banks won't respond if your application is rejected. In my experience applying through online systems it was rarer to get a rejection than to just get nothing at all.
I finally got a rejection! Haha. From my experiences, Barcap does have some shoddy HR. It would've been better not to have put a deadline to get back to us than have everyone freak out.

UBS sophomore superday was on Monday (2/6), offers have already been given out for the first round. BAML sophomore superday is tomorrow (2/9).
