Barclays vs BofA
Have 2 lateral offers into coverage groups.
On a general basis, which firm is better?
I know BofA is being shit on this year, and I know Barclays was shit in 2023, but seems to have stabilized with market-level bonuses.
Any insight / advice appreciated

No bonuses at BofA until 2030. Go to Barclays.
My title is outdated, but I lateraled to Barc recently and I got to say the culture is better than my last BB (Citi) fwiw. Just the culture upgrade has made it worth it and tbh BofA, Barc, and Citi are all pretty similar exit wise.
Depends on which group, what you’re looking for etc. BofA is better on paper and better for your deal sheet but you won’t get paid. Hard for me to compare culture but have heard Barclays is improving and BofA’s is declining
if coverage then probably barclays because of increased technical exposure given in-house m&a
Can you please pm me? I have a question about you lateral hiring experience
