BB HireVue → AC: What's the minimum bar content-wise to get AC? (London)

To ask, what would be the minimum content needed in a hirevue at a BB to be able to progress for to the AC, as im applying to BB’s next summer, but am going to write out what a friend of mine who did the JPM HV on opening day did.

  1. Why Financial Services and JPM:

. Said they wanted to pursue financial services because of early responsibility then linked it to an internship they did where they a had this responsibility and quantified the impact they had

. Then they mentioned a JPM deal (where they mentioned the value of the deal, who jPM advised in the deal and impact to the area of finance it affected), then they (assumed) said that interns would be staffed on these deals and would be able to have an impact etc, then said that’s why they want to join JPM

  2. Greatest challenge to financial services n the next 5 years:

they talked about AI, and said that AI was beneficial in their internship where they used AI in the firm to assist in financial models and quantified impact that AI had, then said that’s whilst upsides, there are downsides ie regulation, client trust and data leaks, and gave a brief overview on why that would be bad ie a challenge and then ended with saying that banks would need to manage AI in a way that it doesnt become something negative fully. Etc

3.) Pitch a Stock to invest in:
They picked Eli Lily and Co, where they talked about them producing mounjaro and then focused in one inelastic demand in Econ etc ie excess demand and limited supply diving prices up and increased obesity rates etc, making healthcare a profitable industry with Eli lily positioned ar the forefront etc, then they mentioned strong FCF for the firm etc and then talked about the downsides such as side effects from the drugs they make which may cause the problems. Etc

So to ask then would the content my friend used in his answers be enough for an AC, too much for an AC or lacking for an AC (Assuming strong delivery), because ive been practicing and am not too sure on the benchmark for passing hirevues.

Any help and comments from anyone on this forum would be greatly appreciated even more so from analysts/associates who have viewed Hirevues at BB’s in London and would be able to comment as well as what other things you’ve seen in the hirevues that make a difference between candidates.

    Thank you very much everyone.

I think generally the recruitment process in London is a bit random (how do they actually manage to get the best talent after ONLY a hirevue?) but skipping the general advice on speaking well, good lighting etc...

But based on my prior success with hirevues: Have a good structure to your answer, no waffling, good content (but not over the top to the point where its obvious you have a script)
