BB Hopping

Wanted to get everyone’s thoughts on my current career situation.

Currently, I’m at a lower tier BB (DB/UBS/Barclays). Came from doing a few years at a top tier BB (GS/MS/JPM). Basically made the switch because was chasing comp but now realizing that might’ve been a mistake given the opportunities I see/deals worked on aren’t as quality.

Have an opportunity to go to another one of the top tier BBs but honestly not sure if it’s even worth it anymore since I already have one of them on my resume. I also don’t want to be a career banker and be seen as ‘jumping around’. Is making the switch essentially solidifying me as that?

I mean you don't want to be a career banker but are considering your third bank.

What is it exactly you wanna do long term that you weren't able to transition to after your first or second BB gig?
