Its pretty intuitive. Just be confident and make them like you.

Banking > VC > Tech PE; PM me if you would like any advice I'm happy to help

Usually just a screening process if its like recruitment in any other industry / company. Cheap way to ensure you are who you say you are. Expect basic brain teasers as well I guess.

Best thing you can do is ask the company interviewing you what to expect.

yeah it is a screening process...for mine i was asked to "walk them through my resume" and what attracted me to that company. Just be enthusiatic and have an idea of what you are going to say to possible questions and your resume. I havent heard of any brain teasers on a first round interview though.

I've been advised to sharpen your story about who you are, why you want to do ibanking this summer, and why you should get the job. Like the others have said, I would expect brain teasers for sure.
