BB vs EB London

Appears as though EBs are much weaker in London/EMEA compared to the UK. Which BBs are stronger than EBs (and vice versa) in EMEA (average across all teams)?

GS/JPM/MS seem dominant for exits but how do the other BBs fare (Citi, BofA, Barclays etc)?

GS / MS / JP all super strong. Citi and BofA very solid, other BBs pretty weak.

EVR, CVP, Roths, Laz, PJT all very strong in London and exit everywhere. Qatalyst don’t do tonnes of deals in London but the deals they do are all very cool.

Worth mentioning I think the spectrum of quality in terms of experience (and therefore available exits) is large in the UK. Depending on group (or even luck with staffings), juniors from relatively poor banks can actually end up far more competent and exit better than others from objectively superior banks. Curious to see if anyone else has noticed. I know this is the case everywhere but seems especially so in London.

In Europe it seems different, less elite bank required to still secure top exits is what I’ve noticed.

Laz is weak, Rothschild mostly MM or even LMM deals, PJT ordinary in M&A, evermore more of a mix of smaller deals and large ones. Would say a strong team in all BBs will offer better experience as there is no need to wasting time in a random MM M&A deal that no one cares
