is this a serious question? you are seriously thinking about donating to a charity because some investment banker might see that you gave?? are you sick in the mind dude?

sumanlst08"come in on a high horse" actually i was pissed because the kid who posted this obviously would be the one on a high horse idiot

No, you are on a high horse because you are actually taking this seriously and criticizing him for it.

Tell 'em why you mad, son. Tell 'em why you mad.

There's no way this thread was meant to be taken literally. I think patek's post is hilarious. He's right, people on this forum debate some of the dumbest things when it comes to breaking into ibanking. Wouldn't be surprised to see more questions like:

What kind of pen should I use as an analyst if I want to maximize my chance of being promoted to associate? (response: the lowest end version of your VP's favorite brand, but only for special occasions and only in silver, not gold trim.)

Should I comb my hair to the left or to the right during my SA ibd interviews? How would this affect my group placement if I then get a FT offer? Would it be the same for Cap Markets? Gel or natural?

with all due respect, given some of the serious stuff I've read on this site (just absurd), it really isn't that crazy to think this may be serious

SeancI don't see what's wrong with his post, he's just trying to buy his way into banking, nothing wrong with that.

agreed but again this is for a friend of mine NOT for me
