Best Industry Coverage Groups for CorpDev

Hi Monkeys. Incoming SA at a BB, and I have zero interest in buyside recruiting. Placement is nearing, and I'm wondering which groups have the best exit opps for corp dev? Pretend the groups are generally relatively even re: prestige & that I have no strong industry pulls. For example, is energy/power better because of the # of industry corpdev roles out there?

Independent of prestige, dealflow, industry interest, are there any industries that are good to specifically cover at the analyst level if one is gunning for a Corp Dev role?

Corp Dev, from my own experience recruiting and now working with them at a F500 after banking, doesn't generally filter out as hard as most buy-side roles do. While it would make sense story-wise to pick M&A or Sponsors (since you are obviously focusing on acquiring/selling assets), the general IB work ethic and thought process is really all you need regardless of sector.

Pick a coverage group if you want to craft an easier story for a specific industry job later on or you just want to do it, but don't stress it
