Hey all - current IB analyst at a BB C&R group. I have a pre-med background and completed previous internships in the devices / MedTech fields, and find that coverage much more interesting than consumer. Does anyone know what the best devices / MedTech groups are on the street? Thanks.

PWP dominates in the MedTech / devices space, followed by JPM. Traditionally Guggenheim's been pretty strong in the space as well.

It’s PWP by a long shot. That is the bread and butter for the group in terms of large cap, won’t see much outside of that space for them in terms of big ticket transactions. Shockwave, BD, Medtronic, Baxter all under the PWP advisory umbrella.
Curious on why Devices instead of HC Services / Pharma + Biotech?
Agree with other posters, PWP is by far #1. I don't think Gugg has done anything big since the late 2010s when they had a few multi-billion dollar deals in med devices where they acted as the exclusive advisors on the deals.
Aside from the above, GS and MS also have done a few deals in Medtech, Jefferies and Piper are probably the best UMM players. Most MMs have coverage in the vertical (e.g., Blair, Baird, HW, CG, RayJay, Moelis).
