Best paying TMT EB?

Curious to hear which TMT-focused shop is having the highest comp overall - Qatalyst, Raine, LionTree, Tidal, Allen & Co. Also, how is their comp compare to the highest paying EBs such as CVP or PJT?

Heard they pay decently, albeit not Q level, but definitely above some EBs. Pretty sure this year's comp will be good though, given they just advised on the Cox-Charter merger

Q by a mile. Their pay scale is off the charts compared to any other firm. As a senior VP, it's closer to a mil, and they have the deal flow to back it up.

Tech IB is really a trade off between firms that pay well and firms that give you the best experience. Tech IB is a pretty fragmented market outside of the top 5 firms (Q, GS, MS, EVR and JPM). The BBs don't pay as well as anyone else- but those 3 will have great deal flow and arguably exits. EVR and now maybe MOE are two firms that will give you a good experience and decent pay.

CVP pays well but the deal flow in tech is questionable. It’s more of a corporate finance house after the exit of Handler into Tidal. Their deal flow and exits leave much to be desired.

Outside of EVR no one really has deals in the boutique market (and that includes LAZ that saw a whole bunch of turnover and loss of certain retainers like GOOG. Been hearing that their bonus has been below par for independents in the last couple of years). MOE can potentially take a big share here with the ex SVB team and they have some momentum. In terms of comp, both EVR and MOE pay in line with any other of their offices.

Q only one on list that does real tech. Pays meaningfully above others. Tidal has a few good accounts but not close on pay past analyst levels vs Q.

Raine forte is sports, although have some other pockets like gaming (advised tripledot on Applovin deal), pays at a EB level and better for those that get to dip into their funds.

LionTree and Allen both are quite media/telecom heavy. Their tech is often media-adjacent or internet versus software/semis. Pays in line with other EBs
