Better postgrad opportunity: MM IB Analyst or MM PE Analyst?

College senior here. I’m weighing my options for full-time work after graduation, and am looking for some guidance. I worked as a summer analyst at a MM bank (outside of NYC/SF/CHI) and signed a return offer. Just recently, I was given an offer to join a MM PE shop in SF as an analyst. Thoughts on how to approach this? I know I want to be on the buyside eventually and am looking to be a career investor. I just don’t know how coveted a MM PE analyst role is compared to the traditional MF ones, or compared to my current IB role. Any help would be much appreciated

depends if this is one of the PE analyst programs that have a track record of taking analysts and actually developing their skillset such as audax, golden gate. take a look at what their previous analysts are doing. mm analyst programs are pretty hit or miss but there are definitely some more established ones that i would take over mm ib. also depends on what cities you want to live in
